How to Transition Your Home from Summer to Autumn

We know… this little heatwave has us all thinking Summer is here to stay! But with the end of the school holidays creeping up, Autumn is just around the corner.
As those long summer evenings fade, our homes start to become the place we want to spend more time in — and Autumn is the perfect excuse to make them feel warm, cosy, and inviting.
The best part? You don’t need to rip everything out and start again. Just a few small swaps can make all the difference.
Here’s how to take your home from breezy summer freshness to full-on Autumnal snugness…
1. Swap Light Fabrics for Richer Textures It’s time to tuck away those light cottons and airy linens. Bring in velvet, wool, and chunky knit throws for instant warmth and texture.
Our Autumn Collection (launching very soon!) is full of pieces that layer beautifully — and they’re perfect for that “just snuggle in” feeling.
2. Bring in Warm, Earthy Tones
Nothing says Autumn like deep rusts, golden ochres, and rich forest greens. Use them in your cushions, rugs, and little decor touches to instantly warm up your space — no paintbrush required!
3. Add Seasonal Accessories
Autumn styling is all about those finishing touches. Think dried flower arrangements, ceramic vases, wooden accents, and, of course, plenty of candles and lanterns for that soft, ambient glow.
4. Lastly, Rethink Your Lighting
Lighting makes such a difference at this time of year. Swap cool white bulbs for warmer tones, and layer your lighting with table lamps, floor lamps, and maybe even a few fairy lights for good measure.
Ready to Get Cosy?
Transitioning your home from Summer to Autumn is really about adding layers — in both texture and comfort. Take it step-by-step, and before you know it, your home will feel like the perfect Autumn retreat.
Our Autumn Collection will be going live over the next few weeks, so if you spot something in these images you love, click the button below to join the waitlist to be first in line. We know some pieces won’t hang around for long — so be quick!
