Behind the Scenes: Creating Our Christmas and Winter Collection

This is such a special moment for us at Lynne Kelly Interiors — our very first Christmas & Winter Collection. It feels like a milestone we’ve been working towards all year, and one we’ve been so excited to share with you.

For us, this collection isn’t just about putting together a few festive pieces. It’s about capturing the spirit of the season — the cosy evenings spent curled up under a throw, the sparkle of candlelight and fairy lights, and the timeless details that make a house feel like a home.

Collections like this take months of planning and preparation, and every single choice is made with our customers in mind. Here’s a little peek behind the scenes at how this year’s Christmas & Winter Collection came to life.

Step 1: Finding Inspiration

Inspiration is where it all begins. Some of it comes from the obvious places — trade shows like the Autumn Fair, where we can see upcoming interior trends and discover those little details that spark creativity. But a lot of it also comes from closer to home.

Conversations in our showroom, hearing what you’re loving this season, and even watching how people respond to fabrics and textures all feed into our design choices. It helps us understand what will truly make your home feel inviting.

This year, we kept coming back to:

  • Mocha, caramel, and beige tones that bring comfort and luxury.

  • Rich shades of burgundy, forest green, and deep navy for timeless depth.

  • Sparkling metallics — gold, silver, and copper — to add glamour.

  • Classic festive motifs reimagined in an elegant, understated way.

It’s about balance: creating something that feels fresh and inspiring, but also familiar enough to become part of your traditions year after year.

Step 2: Curating the Collection

Once the ideas are gathered, it’s time to curate. This is where everything starts to come together — deciding which pieces belong in the collection and how they’ll work alongside each other. We wanted this collection to tell a story: one of cosiness, celebration, and timeless beauty. That meant choosing items that not only felt festive but would also carry you well beyond Christmas Day, into the colder months of January and February.

Some of our favourites include:

  • Cushions that layer effortlessly to create a luxurious look.

  • Throws you’ll want to curl up in all season long.

  • Accessories that sparkle in candlelight and bring a little magic to everyday life.

Every single piece was chosen with care, and always with one guiding question in mind: does this bring joy?

Step 3: Perfecting the Details

This is where the collection really comes into its own. We believe it’s the little details that make a house feel like a home, so we pay close attention to everything from the quality of the material or fabric to the way a colour feels in a certain light.

Does the velvet catch the glow of a fire the right way? Is the green rich and festive, but still soft enough to live with all winter? Will this cushion be something you look forward to pulling out every December?

If the answer wasn’t a clear yes, it didn’t make the cut. It’s that level of attention that makes each piece feel special and long-lasting.

Step 4: Preparing for Launch

Once the collection has been styled, photographed, and finalised, the countdown to launch begins. For us, this is the most exciting part — finally being able to share all the hard work with you.

Here’s what to expect:

Joining the waitlist means you’ll be the first to shop, giving you the chance to secure your favourites before they sell out.

Creating our very first Christmas & Winter Collection has been a true labour of love. From the initial spark of inspiration, every piece has been chosen to help you create a home that feels warm, welcoming, and wonderfully festive.

We can’t wait to show you the collection in full. Until then, make sure you’re signed up to the waitlist for your exclusive early access. Love, Lynne Kelly Interiors
