The Interior Colours We’re Loving This Season

Summer 2025 Interior Colour Trends: How to Style This Season’s Hottest Shades at Home

How to bring them into your home — effortlessly.

Summer is well and truly here, and with it comes a whole new wave of interior colour inspiration. As the light softens and the days stretch longer, it’s the perfect time to breathe some new life into your home — with colours that feel calm, comforting, and just a little bit playful.

At Lynne Kelly Interiors, we’ve been weaving these seasonal shades into everything from our handcrafted cushions and statement Roman blinds to our beautifully made-to-measure curtains. Whether you’re planning a full home refresh or just want to brighten up a quiet corner, these are the colours we’re loving this summer — and a few ideas on how to style them.

Mocha Mousse

The colour of the year, and it is so easy to see why. Mocha Mousse is a rich, chocolatey neutral that instantly warms up a space. It is elegant, grounded, and timeless. The kind of shade that works beautifully across every room in the house.

We love using it in plush velvets or textured weaves, especially when layered with soft whites, creams, or taupes. Think scatter cushions, Roman blinds, or a full-length curtain to add instant depth and cosiness.

Butter Yellow

Soft, creamy, and full of sunshine. Butter Yellow is that perfect in-between, cheerful but not overpowering, and so easy to style. It adds a gentle glow to any space and works beautifully in kitchens, reading nooks, or anywhere that could use a little lift.

Try it in blind borders, piping details, or printed fabrics, and pair it with natural tones like oatmeal, cream, or taupe for a laid-back look.

All Shades of Pink

From blush to bold — pink is here to stay. Whether it’s a whisper of dusky rose or a pop of candy pink, this shade brings warmth and personality into your space. We love it for cushions, trims, or even a soft curtain panel. It works in just about every room, from romantic bedrooms to modern living spaces.

Don’t be afraid to mix tones — layering different pinks can feel unexpectedly sophisticated.

Powder Blue

Cool, calm, and effortlessly classic. Powder Blue is one of those shades that instantly makes a space feel lighter and more serene. It’s perfect for bedrooms, bathrooms, or any corner where you want to create a peaceful retreat.

Style it with soft neutrals, light woods, or natural fabrics like linen and cotton for a breezy, timeless feel.

Grape Green

Earthy, fresh, and a little unexpected. Somewhere between sage and olive, this soft green brings a little punch without overpowering. It feels grounded and natural, but still adds that modern edge — especially when layered with warm neutrals, woods, and tactile fabrics.

We love it for cushions, contrast linings, or a bold Roman blind moment that adds just the right amount of colour.

Candy Apple Red (used sparingly!)

Bold and beautiful — in small doses.Yes, red can absolutely work in interiors, but the trick is to keep it subtle. A single cushion, an upholstered chair, or a touch of red piping can bring so much energy and confidence to a space without feeling overwhelming.

If you’re ready to make a statement, this is your moment.
